Una rivoluzione nel vento

Ormai ne parlano tutti, e farne a meno sembra impossibile.

  • Moustache, il capostipite, arrivato alla seconda generazione con il Moustache2;
  • LINE, il parakite compatto per chi cerca velocità e dinamismo;
  • PROP, la declinazione per il paramotore;
  • SCOUT, pensato per chi si avvicina per la prima volta a questo mondo;

Tornare a giocare

Vuoi scendere?

Come iniziare

ENGLISH VERSION

A revolution in the wind

Everyone's talking about it, and once you've tried it, there's no going back.

The parakite burst onto the wind-sports scene in 2022. Behind it stood the Skywalk group, whose two worlds (Skywalk Paragliders and Flysurfer Kiteboarding) had built up years of experience, dreams, trials, successes and failures. Out of that crossover came a new brand, Flare, and from the drawing board of young talent Benni Bölli came the first parakite ever made: the Moustache. It made its entrance and changed the game.

It was a genuine revolution. At first the old hands watched with raised eyebrows; then the enthusiasm took over, fuelled by riders arriving from every direction: veteran paraglider pilots, kiters, speedriders, complete newcomers. And the range of possibilities keeps growing by the day.

GO FLARE: a brand built for the parakite

Skywalk believed in the project so strongly that it gave it a brand of its own: GO FLARE, the world's first company devoted entirely to parakites and to developing them in every possible form.

The family is already a big one:

  • Moustache, where it all began, now in its second generation with the Moustache2;
  • LINE, the compact parakite for those who crave speed and dynamic flying;
  • PROP, the paramotor version;
  • SCOUT, designed for riders taking their first steps into this world;
  • BANDIT, the performance machine for experienced pilots.

And there's more to come: plenty of new developments are already in the pipeline.

What makes it different

To understand the parakite, you have to unlearn a few paragliding habits. There's no speed bar and no trimmers: speed is managed with handles mounted directly on the risers. Pulling them doesn't just act on the brakes; at roughly a 3:1 ratio it also works the B and C lines. The principle resembles rear-riser steering on two-liners and 2/3-line hybrids, only with far lighter pressure.

The result turns the usual logic upside down: on a parakite, hands up means full speed. So you can't simply let go to adjust your harness, grab a snack or reach for your camera. And keeping that pressure on throughout the flight can leave your arms feeling it by the end.

Back to play

Above all, the parakite means rediscovering the playful side of flying, free from the performance pressure that now grips so many classic paraglider pilots. With a parakite you fly for fun, and the winner is whoever had the most of it.

Your flying site becomes any spot exposed to the wind with even a small obstacle: low hills, dunes, even rows of warehouses, you name it...

Once you've learned the basics of control, everything becomes simple. Want to come down? Raise your arms. Forget stressful descents hanging on big ears and full speed bar, or frustrating attempts at a spiral. Handling the wing is much easier too, thanks to reflex profiles.

It's a parallel world that keeps growing and opening up new possibilities every day.

How to get started

Get in touch and join one of our parakite CAMPs!

If you already fly, a few hours of practice is all it takes. If you're starting from scratch, you'll need the patience to take a paragliding course first: it will give you the essential basics to understand how the wind behaves and the fundamental rules of flight.
